'An unseasonably warm and dry spring encouraged the early molting of the rare fire-fly. The out of season molt sprung the magical insects into mating furor amidst a tinderbox of dry and brittle trees. The spreading conflagration only heightened the creatures' efforts, doubling and tripling their numbers in a few days. The fire spread and neared a Xiticix hive, sparking a mass exodus and bringing about the first of many battles in the Xiticix War.' - 85 P.A.
