10/04/03 - Facelift Time for RfC! We are deep in the throes of renovations on the MUSH and on the website. Framesets are now being utilized to ease the navigation on our new CharGen procedure, and the uploading of our +news files to the web. Lots more on the way, folks.03/09/02 - The Humor Section has been updated with new quips and quotes, and the brand new Satire page entitled: 'The Official Rise From Chaos Fan Site!' Stay tuned for more RP logs in the very near future. I -will- catch up, darn it!
01/22/02 - Two more gallery pages have been added: a cool conceptual illustration by Player Walter, and RfC's first banner ads by Player Rooke! With much excitement and great pride, I invite players and visitors alike to consider adding one of these banners to their own websites. 12/10/01 - Heeere we go. More RP Logs in the Archives, more art in the Gallery, more funnies in the Humor section, and more cool links in the Links section! Rise From Chaos is kicking off an adventure TP, leaving the safe(ish) cozy confines of Tolkeen and trekking outside the territory to come to the aid of a small land of free peoples! A lovely map of the journey route, for your inspection.
10/10/01 - Amazing! We won the Second Semi-Annual MU* Excellence Award for Best Sci-Fi MU*, and we were also one of five nominees for Best Over-all MU*! I'm very pleased. I'd like to thank all (yes, all!) of the players who've contributed to Rise From Chaos over the four years that it's been around, for you have played a part in this journey to coolness.
07/30/01 - What's new? The Skyrunner Mission, a miniseries documentary of the Tinyplot by the same name, that's what's new! Episode One is now posted in the Archives. Check it out!
07/15/01 - Here we go.. a bunch of new site additions. The Gallery has got a couple of new pieces of artwork.. and I've started to post up a slew of RP Logs in the Archives section. They are definitely worth a peek, especially if you're a prospective player wondering about our RP. :)
03/07/01 - During a sudden frenzy of motivation, I dove back into web site maintenance, and changed pretty much every page. For most, it was only a matter of changing the font from Bank Gothic Md BT to Galliard BT, the former being much too busy a typeface, I finally decided. The big content changes have occurred in the Policies, Tolkeen, and Profiles sections, which have been filled out more, prettified, and even edited for readability. New sections will include: RFC Humor, RP Logfiles, and Archived BB Posts! We rock so much! :)
08/21/00 - On Sunday, our host Betterbox was down due to a major thunderstorm. They are currently restoring files for clients who've fallen victim to database corruption. Yep, that would be us, as well. I expect that we will be back in business by this evening. In the meantime, anyone who wants to rampage around the RFC Embassy needs only to connect to The Storyteller's Circle (silverchat.com 6666) and @tel #1176. See y'all soon!
07/28/00 - (Evening now) The MU* is once again running! Mudservices has now restored the MUX from a backup database dating back to the beginning of June, which means much has been lost - almost two months' worth of growth. Most of our newly approved players (from June 5th onwards) will find themselves without their player objects, stats and all. If all goes well.. this lingering problem will only be TEMPORARY, and soon another, more recent backup will be restored, hopefully from last week at the earliest. Until such a time as I have more information on the status of our restoration, RFC will be in Soft RP Mode, which means no TPs or RP that results in significant changes to the IC world. 07/28/00 - The MU* has been down since 9:30 PM CST on Wednesday this week. I've been working with Mudservices to obtain a recent backup copy of the database, so hopefully we will be back online soon, with no significant losses to the DB. For now however, you can find me online at The Storyteller's Circle if you have any questions, concerns, or support to offer. :)
01/17/00 - There's now a decent map, complete with zoom-in and leyline placement in the Tolkeen section. The Who's Who actually had some stuff in it since December, but I didn't think to mention it here. Players are welcome to inquire about getting their profiles up on the site, and submit either photo or artisitic representations of their character(s). Stay tuned for actual page titles, when I get a cool drawing program! :)
Know what? I just realized that unless you've got all the usual neat-o fonts loaded on your machine, you ain't gonna see those fonts here. Also, for you seasoned RFC Website watchers; if an advertised change is not appearing, try RELOADing the page.
11/24/99 - That stupid End of Days is starting today and here I am trying to find out how to make that neat-o 'liquid' writing GIF for the titles of each page. There's something cheesy and satanic about this little problem, too... if you ask me.
11/22/99 - We quadrupled our informational pleasure. Aside from the new intro text, the pre-existing 'Theme', 'Links', and 'Credits' were edited a little. 'Welcome' unfortunately did not make the new team and was escorted from the site with little incident. Please welcome new arrivals 'Character Generation', 'So you want to..', 'RfC Policies', 'The City-State..', 'RfC Art Gallery', 'Who's Who..' and this one, 'What's new?' Half of them still need to be finished and uploaded.
I went on a wild adventure of a search for some neat new bullets to alternate with the crazy spikey balls. I never knew there was such a load of available images, fonts, textures, graphics, clip art, buttons, animations, sounds, arrows, and tools at the touch of my fingertips... and you know what? I never did find a bullet that matched up to our own spikey balls. Awwwww!
04/01/99 - Got the contact e-mail address changed to RfChaos@hotmail.xxx.. yup. Change of site ownership kind of stuff... yup.
07/29/97 - The website was originally finished at this time.. like, 2 years before someone got around to updating it. It looked cool then, too.
